Homecoming at SIX Exchange

On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, I celebrated 25th anniversary of 100 WHF and 15 years of the SIX Exchange cow bell—a symbolic icon of the trust, quality, and consistency that has defined my career building world-class regulatory, risk, and compliance transformations. Approximately 15 years ago, on January 24, 2011, we opened the market with Peter Gomez, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SIX Group, and Rektor of the University of St. Gall, and the SIX staff to inaugurate the SIX Swiss cow bell, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of 100 Women in Finance. We celebrated the 10th anniversary of 100 Women in Finance at the SIX Exchange with two appearances on Swiss TV (SF1), followed by market openings at LSE, NYSE, Toronto Stock Exchange and Chicago Stock Exchange on the same day.

When I worked at Stoxx—a market data business—with cross-functional teams at the SIX Exchange and Deutsche Börse, the outcomes were benchmarked among 23 global competitors by the regulators and earned the confidence of institutional powerhouses such as: BlackRock New York, Barclays London, and Swiss Life Asset Management. This was risk management, compliance, and regulatory affairs—embedded in systems and processes that protected billions in assets while enabling seamless market operations during periods of industry transformation and regulatory scrutiny.

Since I last saw the Swiss cow bell 15 years ago, I've witnessed industry shifts at the SIX Exchange: the business model has shifted away from its traditional focus on IPOs and listings to a technology- and data-driven hub, and to a tokenization and digital assets infrastructure provider. Moreover, I saw the major shift from active to passive management, leading to ETF market capitalization exploding from €1 trillion to €15 trillion, with institutional and retail clients adopting them in portfolio management.

Throughout these changes, I worked on strategic roadmaps for large-scale digital transformations for listed firms to reach moonshot goals and grow to 50 million clients. These same principles now drive Comply Now—designed to help fintech and AI firms become compliant and not just meet regulatory requirements, but compete with sustainable competitive advantages.

Are you navigating evolving compliance, risk, or technological demands while scaling new business lines? Let's discuss how I can solve this for firms like yours.
